Inspired by Arabic instruments, melodies, rhythms and people, Aliya Cycon Project was formed by Aliya Cycon at Berklee College of Music this summer with fellow Berklee students and denizens of Arabic culture. Cycon uses her highest reverence for the Arabic tradition to expose her own unique voice in her compositions and performance. Her compositions salute the Arabic tradition, as well as to step just outside of its mellifluous frontiers.
