New England Conservatory Concert – March 31st


Featuring Alfaia Quartet & Beau D’Ver

 

Artists: Travis Bliss (Tenor Saxophone), Henrique Eisenmann (Piano), Chris McCarthy (Piano), Max Light (Guitar), Kirsten Lamb (Double Bass), Kenan Adnawi (Oud), Gustavo D’Amico (Saxophone), Russell Holzman (Drums), Isaac Levien (Bass Guitar)

Each year, an audition committee of professional musicians selects a few exceptional student ensembles to represent the NEC Honors Ensemble Program. The ensembles work with a faculty coach and are given an opportunity to perform a spring recital in NEC’s Jordan Hall.

Alfaia Quartet, NEC’s 2014-2015 Wild Card Honors Ensemble, is composed of pianist Henrique Eisenmann, oud player Kenan Adnawi, saxophonist Gustavo D’Amico, and bassist Kirsten Lamb. Their faculty coach is Ted Reichman.

Beau D’Ver, NEC’s 2014-2015 Jazz Honors Ensemble, is composed of saxophonist Travis Bliss, pianist Chris McCarthy, guitarist Max Light, bass guitarist Isaac Levien, and drummer Russell Holzman. Their faculty coach is Ralph Alessi.

Price: Free

NEC’s FREE concerts do not require a ticket, unless stated in concert listing. Unreserved seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open 30 minutes prior to the concert’s start time.
